Halloween SFX Make-up: Join Mrs. Savvy as she demonstrates some easy and effective special FX make-up techniques for juniors! This three-part series will help anyone create spooky looks for the Halloween season.
Asheboro Art Adventures (Best for Ages 4+): A virtual program that teaches children and families about famous artists and helps them experiment with various art techniques at home.
What’s Cookin’? Mug Edition (Best for Ages 5+, with adult supervision): A virtual program designed for all budding chefs. Follow recipes made with ingredients you already have at home, made in a coffee mug with a microwave!
Minutes for Mindfulness (Best for Ages 4+):
A virtual program that teaches mindfulness practices in quick and fun ways for the whole family.
Creative Writing Corner ( Best for Ages 10+): A virtual program that discusses short stories, poetry, and how literary devices affect the meaning and tone of writings. Videos premiere on RCPL Facebook and RCPL YouTube once a month. Some videos will be accompanied by links to download worksheets to aid participation.
Animation Class: At the end of Ms. Becky's Animation Class, participants got to create a final animation proejct! Check out some of the great final projects here!
Your Library At Home (All Ages): Your Library at Home is an instructional series of how-to videos assisting parents and families with creating a storytime at home. Each installment will teach families how to add elements of early literacy to circle time at home. Learn how to create felt board stories, pick picture books for your child’s reading level, compose a storytime, and read aloud like a children’s librarian.
