These stories are 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes long and are available 24 hours a day.  Children of all ages enjoy the variety of stories available.  New stories can be heard each week day.

Children's Services

RCPL::Children Services

Each library emphasizes service to children from birth through fifth grade.  Every library has a special area set aside for children, including books, maps, games, and audiovisual material. We frequently have magicians, music, visiting storytellers, animal programs, or other events.

All seven libraries have storytimes for preschoolers and school-age children.

Contact the library of your choice for days and times. The libraries also participate in the statewide Summer Reading Program in order to encourage reading among school-age children from toddlers through middle school.

To find out more about our programs for children please call (336) 318-6800 or contact your local library branch.
